Such bright eyes on the baby, so curious about the world. You can see the love between the parents. Amazing gorilla family. Just wish they had a more natural environment to live in. I realize that being released into the wild would be a death sentence. Maybe one day they can live in a protected sanctuary filled with trees and natural vegetation. I love seeing the little one climb up high, but those concrete floors makes me nervous if he should slip and fall.

What an adorable little family. Dad is proud of his two sons. Mama is busy keeping the little one from growing up too fast. Lol! I always hold my breath when he gets on those ropes and freaks out. He gets those bursts of energy and excitement and it just takes one time for him to miss one of those folded hoses and fall onto the hard concrete floor. I'd feel better if it was the ground(earth) where it has a bit of natural cushion.

No...you are not wrong. Momotaros father died before he was born so he grew up with his mother's influence and without a male figure to teach him how to grow into a Silverback. Genki is much older than Momotaro and had to initiate mating and teach him how to mate. Momotaro may be the Silverback, but Genki really rules the roost. Gentaro was raised by the zoo handlers due to Genki's low milk output until he was about 10 months.
