This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, great video, thanks for getting to the point. For anyone else looking, this will use 120/277 on the line side.

Hi, i got a regular 60 set of dual t8 fluorescent dimmable light fixtures, i replace 1 fixtures to LED dimmable Btype, so I bypass the ballast, that LED does not work on my dimmable switch, what do i need to make that LED dimmable? I'm planning to replace all 60 light fixtures to LED dimmable and i got 277v coming in, thanks

Does Lutron make one that is compatible with Google home and Alex that is wireless without that stupid bridge? Or at there any competitors that might have a solution. I bought the blink n Dim.... But you can't really dim with it remotely or through Google Home the best I can figure....

I have just installed an LED panel but it is a little too intense. I just need to dim it a little and then leave it at that setting. The panel is dimmable per the light specs. Is there a device I can connect to the dimming leads and just reduce the lumens slightly and then leave it connected at the light. I have the overall power controlled by my standard light switch.
@FixtureSpecscom4 жыл бұрын
You could just use a Lutron DVSTV-WH and only wire up the dimming leads and stick it in the ceiling. That's meant to be a wall switch plus dimming leads, but you don't necessarily have to use the line-voltage switch part, only use the purple/grey wires, set the light level where you want it, and forget it up there.

How about two LED fixtures with 0-10V dimming drivers to install on the same existing circuit (which doesn't have 0-10V control wire)? How to connect to be able to dim both lights with the same switch?
@FixtureSpecscom4 жыл бұрын
Yea, so you can use one of these dimming modules and link the dimming wires to each fixture (if you can run new 0-10v wires between them) or if you can't get wires between the fixtures, you can add two dimming boxes (ne for each fixture) and link them wireless to the same switch. They now have a FCJ-010 module that's meant for a single fixture or two, it has a 1A limit.

Hi Josh, nice video. Do you think if the module was mounted behind an LED panel above the drywall it would still receive signal from the switch? The powerpack would be about 12' straight line away (but behind 1/2" drywall) thanks.

Awesome video! I googled and came here for a solution. I'm curious what the wireless distance is but will find out tomorrow while talking with Lutron. Thanks

Would this work on a 347V dimming ballast that is driving a 3 lamp fluorescent fixture using T832W tubes?
@FixtureSpecscom7 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I don't believe Lutron is making a 347v rated version of this at this time. But their tech support can confirm (888) 588-7661, they're very good.

Hi, will this work on a 3 way circuit?
@joshhavekost1213Ай бұрын
Yes you can just use (2) Pico remotes at each location.
@geogineer7 жыл бұрын
Hey there, can I pair one wireless switch to two (2) troffers? I can't wire them together or run additional wiring. Basically need one dimmer switch, two lights.
@FixtureSpecscom7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, there is actually a 1A rated version of this product, (lower cost than the 5A) that you would mount on each troffer. Then you'd pair up the Pico Remote with both modules. The part number you want is FCJ-010 instead of the RMJ-5T in the video description. The remote and wall plate adapter are the same.

Can the FCJ-010 control more than one light? I have 5 2x2 led troffer lights I'd like to control with it.
@jllove1005 жыл бұрын
@@FixtureSpecscom my situation is that I have 3 troffers that are controlled by two line voltage 3-way switches. I want to wire up 3 new LED panels and control with one dimmer. You explain that I can do this without running low voltage wires to the switch locations...but I would require a sender unit for the signal and also a receiver unit at the switch location. I am assuming that I would utilize a line voltage 3-way switch with 10 volt dimming capabilities at one location (the other location I could just keep my existing line voltage 3-way switch for turning on and off. My questions: what size and part number do I need to control 3 LED panels. Am I correct that the send/receive units only control the dimming capabilities?....and if that is true then my one existing 3-way switch would continue to control the on/off for the lights and the other new line voltage/10 volt dimmer switch at the second location would be utilized to provide the dimming function. Your video is providing the solution of not having to run separate new low voltage wiring to the switch location....correct? Can you provide the company, part number for any devices needed.

What do you mean when you said pull the switch out of the wall and cap the wires together to have a constant hot to the fixture? isn't the point of all this is that my switch is not wired for a dimmer? not sure I understand?
@IJ-lr8vw3 жыл бұрын
The remote supersedes the function of the traditional light switch. By capping wires together at the existing switch you will be giving constant power to the transmitter up at the light, hence giving full authority to the newly installed remote. Technology is great indeed!!

ok I understand how to wire it but I got 4 sets of leds that are wired in series. Do I wire the driver wires in series as well to be able to just use 1 powpak?
@FixtureSpecscom9 жыл бұрын
Hi Rod Garrett, The 0-10v wires (+ and -) both need to land on each driver, so a parallel circuit for the low voltage control wires, not series. These wires are sometimes daisy chained or T-tapped, the important thing is that they are polarity sensitive so the positive terminals all need to get the positive wire and the negative terminals need to get the negative wire. The existing line voltage wiring would not need to be changed. Thanks for asking, hope that helps!

hi,one more question will this relay dim on the power side or do I have to use the 0 to 10v to dim the light?I just trying to use it on a standard fixture. thank you for your time
@FixtureSpecscom7 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcelo, No, the line voltage power side is just switched. The dimming is the 0-10v circuit.

Hello. Great video! Thanks! Does Lutron have a similar module but that acts as a wireless in-line dimmer? I have standard fixtures, not 0-10v. I’m using Lutron caseta switches and pico remotes. The caseta switches are a basic 120v dimmer, capable of being paired with wireless pico switches. It would seem that they could also create the same capabilities in an in-line module. But I can’t seem to find any that are not based on the 0-10v dimming systems. I’ve emailed them. Still waiting for an answer. If you know, please share. Thanks again for the video!

I haven't kept track as I left the industry, but as far as I know they do not. When I was selling their products, everyone asked for what you're describing and they didn't want to make it. I'm trying to remember why. If it was a ceiling application, they would always have me recommend people put a regular dimmer up in a box in the ceiling. Everyone hated that answer... Lutron makes great products, and sometimes they do what they think is right even if their customers disagree...
@QIrons4 жыл бұрын
FixtureSpecs.com Putting regular dimmer switches in the ceiling is exactly what I was going to do if no modules exist. I guess that’s what I’ll do after all. Thanks a lot for getting back to me!!

That 0-10v unit is 181 dollars! that's crazy! more expensive than two of my big LED panels!
@FixtureSpecscom4 жыл бұрын
How much labor is it to go pull the 0-10v wiring that's not in the wall..? ;) That's the list price, you should be able to find a better price out there. Also, if you just have a couple LED panels, they released a new module with the part number FCJS-010. (Since this video was made) That works the same way but it has a 1amp max. If you have 277v LED panels, that could be 2-3 fixtures. It's less than half the price.

Josh - thanks for the video. If I have an LED with a dimmer, is it possible to wire it without using the dimming capabilities by just capping off the purple and grey wires? There is a reason for this - and I just want to make sure that would work with a plain on/off switch. I did not realize that I needed a separate system to dim and I have a very challenging space for mounting so would prefer to forego if possible.
@joshhavekost12136 жыл бұрын
This is an old comment, sorry for the delay but yes- just don’t use the purple grey wires and it will operate fine without dimming. Do not cap them together, cap them separately.

Hello there. Great video. Wondering how many fixtures can you control with one of those. Meaning, how many 0 -10 fixtures can you control with one device? Thank you
@FixtureSpecscom7 жыл бұрын
Irfan Vila short answer, 5A is the limit of the switch in the module. so watts divided by volts gives you the amps, you can have up to 5A. this module is still available, but since this video was made Lutron has released an 8A capacity module: RMJS-8A-DV-B if you need a little more capacity.
@LightMike4u6 жыл бұрын
FixtureSpecs.com I can't find that exact model number. I'm looking for a wireless 0-10v dimming module to handle 8 Amps or more. Thanks

It's a shame that this solution is not supported by Casetta.
@FixtureSpecscom9 жыл бұрын
Please note the relay capacity is 5A not 16A as I said in the video. Lutron makes a relay-only version of the Powpak with a 16A relay, but that does not have the 0-10v dimming capabilities. My wires got crossed.. Ha!

Its easy . the fixtures in the ceiling get the module, the black and white from the existing switch (which you will remove at the wall box the white and red out to the ceiling fixtures and the 0 to 10v wires which are the white leads on the big module will go to the 0 to 10v wires on the fixture ballasts, then buy a PICO for the wall and slide it into a PICO wall holder plate which covers the wall box of the switch you removed
@marcelopla98607 жыл бұрын
hi,will this divice dim my lights even if I'm not using sensors at all?I only have the Pico control and the relay.
@FixtureSpecscom7 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcelo pla , yes absolutely. the sensors are not necessary for the Pico remote to communicate with the RMJ dimming module. just make sure you have the RMJ-5T-DV-B, or the FCJ-010 (for a single fixture). Lutron does make a version that is just a switch, no dimming.
