Doing these tips changed my life starting in 2021. But I HAD to change my mindset. These steps require diligence, patience, and self control. It takes a “hobby” to a “job” in some cases - but I love this “job”; a lot of my friends DO NOT. Arbitrage was very lucrative, even a year ago. Still possible, but lines move SO FAST now. You have 10-20 seconds to log in and bet your sides. If I was starting today, I think I would get very discouraged trying to arb. Increase bet size is ideal - but you and I both know 90% of books will limit you to worthless $7 bets if you’ve been hitting arbitrage lines/EV lines. Great video. You clearly know your stuff. I enjoyed listening to this. I just want “newbies” to know it’s a little tougher than you make it sound 😂 Best of luck man! I create content in the betting space as well if you ever want to collab in some fashion.

I appreciate your no bs content, between touts, and influencers it’s hard to get good information.

Want to clarify - when I say you should size your bets off of the Kelly bet sizing formula. You should not be betting "full-kelly" - I recommend 1/3 to 1/4 of what the Kelly Formula tells you to bet so you protect yourself from overestimating your edge.

Love the video, love the strategy. If you don’t mind me asking, when did you get started?
@TheRiskTakersPodcast Жыл бұрын
Appreciate it! I got started in the space w/ poker about 15 years ago. Intro to sports betting was DFS in 2010 - and then real sports betting I think around 2019.

This was great! Thanks for putting this out! I live in MO but close to the IL border. I purposefully haven't driven over and created accounts for the IL legal books with the thought process of I would lose the chance to have first time depositer bonuses when (if it ever :)) becomes legal in MO and those books come to market. I just assumed and never researched this. Are you saying that isn't always the case and it's a state by state thing when it comes to deposit bonuses?
@TheRiskTakersPodcast Жыл бұрын
I know that some are patching the multiple deposit bonuses per each state - but I imagine that some are still offering. I would hit Illinois if I were you. It's one of the elite betting states and time value of money becomes a big factor when waiting for legal sports betting in MO.

I live in Arkansas and we only have a couple sports books. Then we have prize picks and underdog those ones we can play. Can that work still with having limited sports books
@TheRiskTakersPodcast27 күн бұрын
Much harder - you may want to plan a few trips to the states with the best sports betting offerings at first to grow your bankroll as risk free as possible. Then you can have more ammo to play into prizepicks and underdog

Hey GP, how about a video on maximizing welcome offers? Most sportsbooks are offering “no sweat first bets” instead of deposit matches now. I thought of taking all 4 sportsbooks offering the 1k no sweat first bet and then just betting the different side at -110 on each book so I’d win $1900 on one book and lose $1000 on another book but get it back in credit so I’d have $2900 off a $2000 investment. Im assuming there’s some caveats to the $1000 credit, rollovers requirements of it, do you get back the initial stake or just what you profit from betting the credit, etc. Would love to know how you’d maximize this!

Yeah this is a good idea - there is a mathematically optimal way to bet risk-free bets which is essentially on long shots, but depends how long based on your bankroll

Can u clarify somethings for me? I am not sure if I understood everything? So I need like 2,4 mil to make 100k a year? And that's my bankroll right just for betting. I cannot touch my bankroll for rent/hobbies/gas/food and so on?. Seems like impossible to get to so much money the ti cannot touch to make 100k? Did I miss something?

I live in California and I feel super limited in what books I can use.. do you have any experience with bovada? I’m tempted to try it but I’m just not 100 percent sure it’s safe even though I’ve seen it was in California
