Actually 7km, if you're assuming uniform acceleration. u = 0 v = 1010 = (5/360)a s = 0.5*at^2 = 0.5v*(5/360) approx 7. If he had maintained a constant speed of 1010 after the acceleration and driven for 50 more seconds he would have covered an additional 14km.

Back in the day Sammy Miller did 402mph (643km/h) in 3.22 seconds over the 1/4 mile in his self build rocket car. This is impressive, but that was insane. Can't wait for Bloodhound to go full out. Best wishes from down here in South Africa 🇿🇦

Love it when a plan comes together. Great job from the whole team and love the addition of speed dial. Now we have the long wait until next year but hope to be able to watch the work over the winter and especially the fitting, and perhaps some static testing, of the rocket.
