I think there were 2 kinds os destinys to millenial power metal: Turned to reborn as Hard Rock bands with glimpses of metal (even admiting they can't play metal anymore), or, as you said, looping the sabe album for 20 years. However, getting worse at every try.

@@igorivanoff7964 Yeah, Edguy is probably one of the worst examples of what you described. They turned from one of the youngest and most promising bands this genre ever created to one of the most boring hard rock formations in like 2-3 albums. I remember visiting one of their concerts at around 2010 with one of my uncles who was 50+ years old back then and he just described it as womens music afterwards.

@@JackoBanon1 jajajajaja. Womens concert. But Yes. He's right. It's The perfect exemple. And I give you more: look at Avantasia. Edguy's frontliner created one of The masterpieces of Power metal, and literally destroyed it at part 3. I remember That He explained that He didn't liked part 2, because he had a deadline to finished it. So everyone thought that Was The end of Powermetal Opera. No one was expecting part 3. And than it came... And it were desastrous.
