now this is birstall st peters church from the ringing chamber where you ring the 8 bells from its like batley and thornhills church ringing chamber where you go up some steps then down 6 steps into the ringing chamber now the ringing chamber at birstall church has a lot of room for the bellringers its a masive wide ringing chamber to ring the 22cwt 8 johnstn gillits bells came here in 1919 the bells are really nice to ring deepish set big mellow in the tenor 8th bell yes loud outside by the under tower door outside the church yes by stuart mills bellringer saturday the 4th september 2021 the big tenor bell was coming down to fast when i rang it to grandsire triples it was up the wrong way thats why we rang some call changes on 8 bells then bob triples on 8 bells with 7 doing the methode the tenor man or lady bongs at the back all the time means covering to stedmand triples or bob triples then we rang more call changes on 8 bells again then bob majore on all 8 bells with me ringing the treble couple of times then bob dobles on the front 6 bells 2 times then plain bob major and rounds on 8 bells right till quarter to 8 pm then that was the end of the meeting and bellringing there ok enjoye the famous peal of bells at birstall st peters church the church was built in 1110 ok we got about 15 or 20 ringers from diffrent towers so it sounded good
