The series in question is an anime called "Serial Experiments Lain". There is a manga related to it which is titled "The Nightmare of Fabrication" but I don't think these images are from that manga. They are likely just standalone drawings made by Yoshitoshi Abe, who was a concept artist for the anime I believe.
