2003 - March 28 (I only have a partial - missing 3 min at end)
2004 - May 28 mine is a damaged mix of two episodes

You do hear the man at the beginning of the episodes saying "edited copy". These were taped, I believe the first one was aired live.

@londonlady227 They were "As live" meaning that once recording started, it didn't stop unless the set fell down and maybe not even then.

@londonlady1966 Most series were in those days. Usually in a half-hour programme they were allowed o ly one "Edit", which meant that at worst only 15 minutes would have to be redone "from the top" if a disaster happened. Early Dr Who was recorded the same way and as the effects were the most difficult aspect of the programme technically, fluffed lines, missed cues and monsters bumping into the cameras were never deemed serious enough to stop and start again. The pre-Emma Peel Avengers were also recorded like this, and the plots would have to be adapted so that the cameras could run from one set to another without crossing paths with other cameras. There is one episode of Corrie on here where the camera doesn't get out of Elsie Tanner's way fast enough and several instances of the microphone bobbing into view. Sorry to ramble on.

Albert's daughter is supposed to be 38, in 1961. She looks old enough to be his wife. In real life, the actress playing Albert's daughter, was only 16 years younger than Jack Howarth.

When I first saw Betti Albert's daughter in modern day Coranation Street I thought she was perhaps his sister not his daughter. The age they both look around the same age. Like Gail and her Mam Audrey in modern day Coranation Street very little between them age wise. Saying that Gail did look younger than her real age.

Yes i agree - no disrespect to Americans they are fine people but at one point us Brits lapped up seeing how all Americans in soaps ,comedies ,and dramas lived in big houses and were living the dream it was escapism then times changed and it all got a bit too hard to swallow especially when we realised it wasnt how most people were living. It was ok in shows like Dynasty etc but otherwise it all became a bit to much

All true, except Coronation Street is set in a fictional suburb of Manchester, not London. The whole character of show would be different had it been set in London. The warmth and humour is northern, through and through.

There was a gap/lane between the Rover's and No 1. That ment Albert had no window to the left of his house? Infairnes it would make more sence because the Rover's toilet was to the left of No 1. But when Harry and Concepta walked of of them lane they came from the right of No.1 meaning they walked out of Albert's house No.1 😀😀😀

That's true they did, although Jerry Booth may have put the bathroom in when he lived in the house. I'm not sure exactly when bathrooms were installed but I'm certain that originally those house would have been without bathrooms, hence the outside Loo
