It was definitely a mixture of musicians from the Alexandrov Ensemble and other troupes, especially from Victor Kuleshov's Don Cossack choir and musicians. The concert was advertised in the Press and concert programme as Alexandrov Ensemble. But the audience said that Victor Kuleshov had provided musicians to prevent disaster after many men defected. It was a tiny audience who were very supportive.

It was originally an Alexandrov Ensemble UK tour 1988 but it was disastrous, so other people provided the entertainment. I think there is a mix of Alexandrov and other troupes here. Solovyanenko was a guest artist.

Excuse me this was filmed in Portugal and not the Albert hall I've seen the same clip in another KZbin clip and a English man was explaining in Portuguese and then English so who ever pasted this got the wrong end of the stick . The soloist is Ukrainian and a miners Son from Donetsk .

Please read all of the description above. You will see that I have already said that. Yes you are right about who the performers were, and I have written that. However the title of the tour continued to name the Ensemble, so I have told the truth there also. The audience attended the concerts expecting to hear the Ensemble sing, and it was not the Ensemble. The ausience was however very supportive and polite.
