Bhutto was not great leader at all. Calling him one is a big Hoax. I agree with Ashir bhai that every person has got positives and negatives, but Bhutto's negative's over shadow's his positives big time. In Ayub's era before bhutto, Pakistan's economy was in a Boom. Economists from countries like Indonasia and Malaysia used to visit Pakistan to study our economic progress. Then came Bhutto ( Pseudo Genius) and inspired by China and Russia Nationalized everything in the country. The obvious result was economic melt down. His biggest crime was that he had become a civil dictator !! The man was so power hungry that even after losing the elections, he was not willing to step down as a PM and give Sheikh Mujeeb his constitutional right to rule the country. This ultimately paved the way for the creation of Bangladesh.

Its a fact, he owned thousands of acres of land himself and at the same time provoked peasants to grab agricultural lands from their owners by force. people say that bhutto was a genius, and visionary and great leader, but this is all propaganda and when you deeply examine, he was a great manhosiat for pakistan, and thereafter his family became manhosiat for pakistan. i will give an example, that during ayub khan's government he became minister of industries, and thereafter he visited japan. emabassy of pakistan assigned one pakistani who was very fluent in japanese language and embassy told this person not to speak in japanese language at all. so bhutto accompanied with this person and they went to ministry of industries in japan. on arrival there, they were welcomed by two japanese ministry staff and they went to conference. japanese asked bhutto, if he had any topics of discussions or wanted any information. (bhutto went to japan to talk to ministry of industries, but was not carrying any documents, files or bag etc) and he started talking to japanese, who were listening to him. after few minutes one of the two japanese told to other, that this man has no agenda and he has come to japan after making fool of his government, so lets not waste our time with him. so as result these japanese quickly wrapped up and then bhutto and his accomplice left. the person who went with bhutto knew japanese language very well so he understood and later he narrated this story to this writer (there was no in between person to narrate this story to me). another incidence is mentioned in shahab nama and which also showed that bhutto was not too much informed or interested in working for pakistani benefit, and the time proved that because of his lust for power and money he did lot of acts and pakistan was dismembered. there are many other stories, but i can not mention here. pakistanis are very emotional people and we do not look the things in depth.
