One hint about removing the power jack: Desoldering the original wires can lead to the traces on the PCB ripping off. I recommend to just cut the wires at the original jack, then they are long enough to reach outside the PSU without the need to desolder the original wires.

The only problem I have with these rack mounted power supplies is the noisy fans. Sounds like a jet engine running. I guess it must be possible to replace the fan with a larger one that makes less noise, and mount the whole thing in a box.

Hi! Do you know if this model has a knob to change de voltage? I want to use 13.8V

Any chance you are familiar with the PL28 version that has the blue socket? It has an additional screw in the “back” opposite of the one by the plug, it’s near the daughter board. I’m assuming only the two front screws are involved in the DC grounding.

I would suggest to take the board out and measure where it is connected to. Then you know for sure.

Thank you! Please tell me: if I put 4x psus in series, do I need to isolate the cases of all 4 psus?
@ludwigbre Жыл бұрын
You only need to isolate 3 of them, the bottom one (who's output is the ground) does not need to be isolated

I'm having some questions. About Ground wire which comes from power 230V to the screw on housing. This cable should be soldered with ground wire in not moded psu? Or leaved free ? Second questions. If I wanna have 12 and 24 power supply I must leave two power sockets and use two power cables or Y-type cable 230V. One of psu will be 12V(not moded) and first + second will be 24V

resistor between pin 33 and pin 36 , is it 330 - 1000 ohm, if anyone wonder. (I spent my time to search)
@luckyone14133 ай бұрын
Just short the pins works. You dont need a resistor.

i was wondering is there any way that the 12v output can be change for example into 14v?
@ludwigbre Жыл бұрын
On some of the PSUs there is a small trim pot inside with which you can change the voltage. But this seems to depend from model to model.

yes, its possible to do that for HAM radio. You can search in youtube. To do that, you need solder 22k resistor to var R.
