Caroline Bliss's Moneypenny was a perfect Bond Girl material for Dalton's gritty take on 007: She was warmhearted, she was genuinely concerned about Bond's safety and her innocent flirts were a clear indication of her feelings for him. Both complemented each other too, as unlike Sir Connery who treated Money penny more like a beer buddy or Moore who just wasn't interested, Dalton's Bond seemed to actually care for her and might eventually fall in love with her.

The real question was where would the Bond series have gone after 'Licence To Kill'? It's hard to see Dalton in a more fantastical Bond story after this film and its equally hard to see the producers staying with this kind of story for the next film. As much as I like Dalton as Bond, maybe we got as much from his two films as realistically he could have done with Bond. I just can't see Dalton's Bond in a fight with a female robot (which is what one of the scripts for his 3rd film involved).

Long story short - Dalton’s contract ran for three films. Production on his third outing was set to begin in May 1990 and filming was set to take place in Scotland, Japan, and China. They had the script finalised and they were all ready to go, but it got scrapped due to a legal dispute between MGM and Danjaq over the distribution rights to the Bond series. Thanks to a shady Italian banker named Giancarlo Parretti, who was MGM’s chairman at the time, we never got to see Dalton’s third. After everything got resolved and Parretti was arrested, Dalton’s contract expired, but he had a change of heart and stated he wanted to do just one more and then call it quits. Cubby Broccoli basically said "Tim, you can’t just do one" and offered him an improved contract for 3/4 movies. Dalton politely declined and resigned from the role in April 1994. Pierce Brosnan then got the role two months later and the rest, as they say, is history.

I have a question I just got done watching license to kill recently couple of days ago and I just have a question and I need your feedback on it. Here’s my question about the movie it was really good but man this movie is a mess first of all, why would Felix Leiter not call the DEA to make sure that Sanchez was in custody mean really come on to make sure that Della his wife and her father were safe, so James and lighter can put some protection on them. Second of all why does Felix have on his hard drive in his family home information on the operatives that work for him that’s pretty stupid in my opinion third of all in the bar scene how in the hell can a 12 gauge shotgun blow a hole the size of a human being through a wall in a bar that was so stupid, then on top of that when money, Penny was in her office, taking care of what M want it done and then she found out that m was gunning for James. Why didn’t she tell Q when she made the phone call to warn him that’s another question second of all why would Sanchez let this man that he does not know into his head pretty stupid do you think Tony soprano would allow a new man to come in and have free reign of what he was thinking give me a break, Pam could’ve told James about the stinger missiles to warn him why she was at the wedding to tell him that the deal that she made and why she was going to be at his office at that time not even discussed and why in the hell, did they make James Bond in the casino scene they took the most handsome ass actor on the face of the planet and they turn them into Dracula good God, then that one scene when Dario was going into the meat grinder why in the hell was Bond not wearing his mask to make sure that he did not overdose on cocaine really that means Pam would literally have to give him health by taking him to a hospital and finishing the mission herself, because as we know, bond could not fulfill his vendetta against Sanchez himself and then the ending of the movie which is pretty good but here is another question about Lote why in the hell is she acting like Sanchez and being so lovey-dovey to the president who has literally been paid off so many times by Sanchez she said she hated that iguana and she couldn’t stand it but now she’s walking around like it’s a pet I think she and the president probably we’re having talks behind the scenes to take control of Sanchez is operation and I think she use bond to get her hands on it so she manipulated him and why in the hell is Bond and Q not at the airport heading back to be accountable for their actions that would’ve been a better ending in making out with Pam and a Pool next to a winking fish fountain it would’ve made it a whole lot more impactful if he would just given her a kiss there and boarded the plane and headed back to London just my opinion so when you read this, just give me your feedback and on top of that the movie has a whole lot of editing issues you have one seen that skips to another seen that doesn’t make sense

And then, on top of that, they must have Felix Leiter on some major morphine because he doesn’t even understand that his wife is dead, and when he goes home, he will be all alone, and that is sad but he is smiling and having a good day that is so stupid in my opinion when he should be brokenhearted and needing bond because now they have something in common because we all know about Tracy in Her, Majesty’s, Secret, Service, and I think Felix is going to need bond more than ever because now they have something in common between the wives are now dead

I've tried to like the Dalton movies for over 30 years, and still hate them.

Did two great Bond films and bounced. Never overstayed his welcome. Obviously no slant on the other actors. They were fantastic in their own way but they all made some mediocre films (besides Lazenby for obvious reasons). You just cant fault Dalton, I'm sorry.

Quick reminder. Bond is waving suitcases of money around, money he stole from Sanchez, and depositing it in his bank, gambling it away in his casino, spending nights in the best hotel possible, throwing away hundreds in tips. THEN, he withdraws that money, and plants it on his partner's ship to frame him for stealing it, leading to the most over the top death in Bond's history. More or less. Damn, most con men wish they could pull this off.
Ah, the old days. When men were men and could inform women of their obvious inferiority to their faces without hesitation. After all, why beat around the bush?
