A great walk Paul. Nothing fixes those creepy woods better than making a sausage sandwich, and a cold one! Very beautiful woods, thank you. All the best, Mike

Good evening Paul! Nice looking scenery along the reservoir. The rolling hills reminds me of my home State of New York. Yes, the fresh cut timber smells nice...a scent for a shaving cream? We call those water skimmers. 7 miles plus...how many minutes did it take you to walk that. It would take me about 120-130 minutes. Those war-birds...people don't realize just how disorienting their sounds can be. You can't tell direction until you see them...and they are quick. Imagine being under attack. Sadly, I can. I love those nature walks. The rustling of leaves is relaxing. Badgers? I seen the honey badgers. I have a real interest in historical things, the older the better. That wood is not too creepy...yet. Just lay your beard crumbs and lookout for the witch. Nice looking Dam. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

Thanks Todd, nice area to walk in this, like your home State in New York eh.....that's great. The wood scent would be a nice shaving soap scent yes.....it took me about 150 mins with filming and stopping for dinner......yes the badger is a great animal, I have night footage on my trail camera of them feeding.....I left bananas out and they love them...lol....all the best, and thanks again.

Great video Paul! I really enjoy these walking tours, with the local history and nature included. Not too many people either, so you had ample space to yourself. There's nothing more peaceful than being in the middle of the woods and hearing nothing but birds. I may have missed the detail if it was included in the video but what was the temperature?
@007vauxhall7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes a nice area to be quite alone here, apart from the fisherman, who you would not know were there.....the temp here was about 20c on this day.....quite warm for us.

Nice video Paul.I believe the hill with the cairn and ruins is called Mwdwl-Eithin.Would be a good challenge to encompass this into the walk probably would make it nearer 10 miles!! May try it one day the view would be immense.
@007vauxhall7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chas, yes that's right, it is called that...some great views from up there, and as you say, adds to the walk.

Lovely walk Paul. Will put it on my to do list for 2018. That bit of deciduous woodland looked a lovely spot to have a brew and watch the world go by. Fishing as well, so that will make a nice day out. Are there any red kites in the area. Was in the Elan Valley earlier this year, which was fantastic.cheers.
@007vauxhall7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gareth, it's a nice walk....those woods were great, may be a future venture in them.....yes there are Red Kites here, and they are spreading more thankfully too, there are also lots of Buzzards in the area.

Thank you, it's about 20c here at the moment, can get hotter and cooler, depends....it has been 30c...and added with humidity....lol....we are not used to that.

Henry Bloor! I just had a cupa with him last week! With all that wood we could make a fire and have an egg and bacon sandwich with some coffee! That building looks haunted! were those lavender flowers Fox gloves? Haha when I was a kid we had a field few houses down from my house used to call it Snake spit said Early in morning snakes would go to the grass and gum it and leave their spit as a warning! (funny) What did that sign say behind you (WARNING) RAF Bomb and Strafing Range! GLORY BE! (Deciduous) did you hear what the man said, I had to stop the video and look it up! lol... yes we can stop there sometime and have a cupa! Haha imune to the sting "cause he's a drunkN SOD" his face is numb he's so Knockerd! When you were showing the haunted ruin were those sheep on the hills below it, we should have gone and got one! Those creepy woods reminded me of the headless horseman and Ickabob Crane! omg! Who was that old woman in that window wearing that old grey gown with the stringy hair that was waving at us like she wanted help? Well you've been holding out on us was a most enjoyable walk sir! Next time you go out and it's windy try a plaster and maybe little cotton loosely placed over microphone intake! Thanks for letting me go with ya I d8dnt know you thought I was serious when I said don't let me slow you down when I fell in the road and you just walked right over me and kept going took me 20min to catch up! Atb my friend and say hi to Mrs H. Mark
