The FBIGO question. I would roll the distances in case there's a big difference in distance, and "smush" the two units back to back, facing away their respective big monsters. "Making it work" and just having a good time instead of trying to guess what should be the "absolute right" way to play it

Yeah, I think that’s a really good point. We tend to try hard to ‘get it right’ so that we can report on it accurately but if the correct way to play is ‘we were both happy with this outcome - so that’s what we did’ then you may see more of this in future (H-G)

Great report as always crew, can I ask where the arc measuring templates are from?

I don't know what the correct answer is but I think the combat should be treated as one for fleeing because it was treated as one for deciding who won. I think your solution is probably better. One thing is that you flee from the biggest enemy unit centre to centre so the left hand warriors should move down a bit and the right ones up a bit and be facing at an angle, prior to reforming. The first thing they do is pivot to face away, which creates some separation with those lines hit in the flanks. I think those two units could have moved past one another giving a true horror of line hammer. They would be facing one another with a small overlap where the enemy was in contact 😅. Doing it my way the left hand unit would flee to the left through the enemies and would get decimated. I don't know what is right, I'm 60:40 for that happy to play either way.

Thanks for that! Yeah I see what you're saying. I think we just simply don't know yet and hopefully it'll be clarified moving forwards. But keep up the comments, they are suuuuuper helpful! (L6s)

@@PTGProxyTableGaming I came across a very similar thing today that made me think it should be the other way IE your way. I had a unit of chariots with a tomb prince and a herald attached. The unit was wiped out and the TK lost that combat by lots. Should they take crumble losses together as they would if the unit remained or separately as if they were well separate? If it was regular folk like goblins then two characters would surely take separate leadership tests? So I think they should stop being a unit as soon as they are not one. Hmm now I've spelled it out I noticed it's a bit different and the two cases could be treated differently. The thing I dislike most about miniature games is the mental energy expended on this sort of pointless and frustrating lack of clarity.

@jonathanpickles2946 It's the lack of clarity for me. It's hard coz I think these are actually quite frequent examples and not as niche as we think, so it's a bit hard to understand why it hasn't been thought of/referenced in the rules... (L6s)
