Ray Allen's shot is quite strange, which makes it so good. He pulls away his left hand, instead of just leaving in there, to make sure it doesn't affect the spin.

Hey, don't worry about your height, it's all about creating space. You could jab step forcing the defender back but remember, never hesitate. You could fake, wait for the defender to bite on it, then dribble once to the side that the defender isn't on, and shoot from there. At that point, take your time, just don't take that long, the D can come back on you. Always remember, its about space.

Can anyone answer this for me, are you supposed to hold the ball with the seams? And grip it that way almost every time you shoot? It seems like it takes too much time to change the grip in your hand. I see a lot of guys not holding it that way, is it something like you just prefer to shoot it that way but will hold it any other way?
