Nice video Roland, any chance of a link to "functional forth for the bbc computer"? The other books you mentioned can be read online at jupiter-ace.co.uk but not that one.

I've never seen it online or as a pdf... but I plan to cover some of it in follow up videos. Oddly it must refer to the disk version of Acornsoft Forth, because the addresses are all different in the ROM version... anyway, the concepts still apply, and it is not difficult to follow along with the Forth ROM.... another book you can get is "Welcome Forth" by JW Brown, but I cannot get that particular Forth (it's based on another Forth system also available for the BBC micro) to work... Anyway, I plan on more tutorials going through RPN / stack ops. / defining etc.

@@pandoraefretum Yeah you mentioned "Welcome Forth" in the video and it's one of the ones on the Jupiter Ace site. I've got a few of the author's forths working in Beebem, I got them from here mdfs.net/System/ROMs/Language/FORTH/. Just right-clicked and save-link-as and renamed them to .ROM instead of .txt (you need to have file extensions showing in file explorer). Looking forward to any follow-up videos you might do.
