Good god almighty pans on racks on the streets where they belong - what a novel idea. That used to be loads of fun. We could not enjoy J'ouvert unless we pushed the racks to town and back. The atmosphere is not the same when they are on the trucks.

My God I pray the day would come back when on J'Ouvert morning from Park street all the way to Fredrick Street as far as the eyes can see, steel bands stacked up one behind the next jamming on on Racks, I just wish some band will take the chance an return racks to the streets. Pls some one pls do it I'm begging let's put Racks back on the road, this thing on the tray of trucks ain't cutting it, that's taking the instrument backwards. All it takes is one band to take that brave stand the rest will follow. I challenge Renegades, I challenge All Stars, I challenge Despers, I challenge Exodus, I challenge Supernovas these are the trend Setters please I beg of you. Let young ppl see what they are missing

Since 2015 we have been hosting this traditional steelpan J'ouvert so even though you might not get all of your wishes come true, we at Invaders Steel Orchestra will still make it a reality every Republic Day. We are Invaders and we are re-defining the tradition. Hope to see you next year in front of Shell Invaders Pan Yard at 4:00am on Republic Day 2023 for the "Invaders J'ouvert"

As far as necessary, miles. All around the City of Port-of Spain if necessary on Carnival Days a traditon for many years.. For "Invaders Jouveert" it is limited to around the Oval a much shorter distance..

The "Invaders J'ouvert" route starts at Shell Invaders Pan Yard at 147 Tragarete Road, Woodbrook and heads east on Tragarete Road, then north on to Gray Street, on to Sweet Briar St, north on Elizabeth Street then west on St Clair Avenue turning on Kavanagh and back to Tragarete Road to the Invaders Pan Yard. Hope to see you in 2023 for the "Invaders J'ouvert"
