Its Early Hardstyle and can also be classed as Hard Trance. The genre's were mixed over in set's by the biggest DJ's at the time and I'm sure Kai (Derb) wouldn't mind it being called either of them. Just enjoy it

@alsanchakk You can take trance out the music but you cant take the trance out the soul. Plus at 4:05 trance at its best. But that progression of music. It sounds trance here hardstyle there a little bit of both. Isn't it just like language forever evolving.

@MAssBlackbird That still does not make it HS. It's the foundation of the track, as they say. Hennes & Cold, derb, Scot project, and all those producers from Tracid Traxxx Produced Hard trance /Acid AND NEVER HS. Tracid (trance & Acid) Simple. Tracks don't go from being Hard trance to hardstyle just because Hardstyle is different now and a lot of people don't realise that. When hardstyle just copyed a mixture of hard house, and Gabber the producers actually didnt change much until 02 or so.

Jst be careful, him and pavo were playing at a place here in northern ireland not that long ago and pavo's set was immense - all oldskool stuff to be exact... and as soon as Luna came on after him he let the whole thing down playing a loada nu-style junk... same goes for the set he played at the planet love summer festival earlier last year in the goodgreef tent, don't be fooled that just cos the big names these days have made old tracks doesn't mean they'l play them anymore :( :L
