Hi, the question is asking you to identify the red number (questions like this will not be on your test.....it is to help you understand the place value) So for example in the number 123. The 1 represents one hundred or 100, the 2 represents two tens or 20 and the 3 is three ones (or three units) or 3. So it is showing you understand the number positions Hope that helped.
