Ahead of each show, the regular cast from across the nation answer hundreds of general knowledge questions. Their answers form the quiz and will hopefully prove more of a help than a hindrance as the three contestants try to answer the questions correctly.
After their knowledge has been tested to the max, the winning contestant then faces ‘Question: Impossible’, which stumped the whole Think Tank team. Using their wrong answers to eliminate obvious errors, can the contestant go one better and win a huge cash prize?

Think Tank ended after one year on air, partly down to the ill health of presenter Bill, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer shortly after the show ended.

Please remember, this was a BBC daytime quiz show, meaning they were using public money to fund the prize funds, and also the budget for cheap afternoon daytime quiz shows on BBC are tiny compared to other networks. BBC has to balance this, as they are funded by the British licence fee payer at currently £159 per year compulsory licence fee.
