What is the difference between the Tag you can create when adding a new Resource Group and Tags you can create inside a User Pool in the tab Tags?
@ValaxyTechnologies6 жыл бұрын
The "Resource Group" options allows you to add/edit multiple tags across multiple services. Not sure, what you mean by "User Pool" - Do you mean Cognito User Pool?

@@ValaxyTechnologies Yes Cognito User Pool. In Cognito there is a tab that says "Tags". What is the difference?

Tags are meta-data that can be used to describe the semantics of the resource. For EC2 - You can use the tags to define if it is a web server or app server, or if it is production or dev or if it is running for HR dept or Finance dept etc, Likewise in User Pool - you can use them(tags) to identify the user pool, ie if the users are part of which organization/dept/roles/ or if they are federated from a particular identity store etc.,

I wanted to tag all my S3 objects in S3 buckets ,but the object count is in millions ,so I cannot use AWS apis to tag such a larger amount of objects ,is there any alternative

Good explanation. Now the big question is is it possible to FORCE people to add tags when creating resources? I would like to know if it’s possible to reject resource creation unless the minimum tags are manually added by user upon creation.

Yes you can!
