In this video, I will be showing you my experience on Thai Airways A350-900 from Bangkok to Stockholm Arlanda (ARN). Thai Airways operates a daily flight and most of the flights' passengers capacity is high, around 80-95% full. This flight is also a code-share partner with SAS. If you watch my previous vlog, Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok on Thai A350 as well, I have a decent experience with it. Also the fact that the aircraft was changed from A330 to A350. Being able to fly on your favourite fleet type is definitely a good news.
Based on my personal experience and opinion, Thai Airways is good; however, the service and staff are quite erratic and inconsistency. Good or bad, depending on your luck and the crew you met on your flight. Service protocol is mostly not abided by, making things easy to the extent like giving the meal without simple greeting, asking, saying or anything. Younger crew are superb and friendly. During mid-flight, since I couldn't sleep, I went to galley many times to stretch my feet and I rarely saw crew's presence. A simple snack bar is set up. If things are finished, it's not replenished. Some passengers pressed the service bell, either no crew showed up or passengers have to wait for very long time to be attended to. No crew walk around offering drinks during mid-flight too. Back in April, at least I saw 3 to 4 times crew going round the cabin. Also, toothbrush can be found in the lavatories. But, there is none on the BKK-ARN route. Weird! During breakfast, the senior crew in economy zone even instructed the middle seat passenger in front of my row by pointing the finger, "Open! Open! Hello, OPEN!". The window seat passenger was still asleep, he instructed the middle passenger to open the tray table. Can't he just say it in a nicer way?
Many people claimed that Thai Airways is good. I have mixture of love and hate feeling. How's your experience with Thai? Have you ever flown with Thai?

Last time with TG was from Brussels direct ! Great flights. I am a bit embarrassed in their place because of the low food quality service. Frozen food, small portions. And departing from their base , no, no excuses!

The food sometimes depend on the catering of the destination. I used to receive bad food catered, most of them are still quite decent.

Before Covid I flew TG around 12 times in 20 years and only 2 times I had a crew just disappearing at nighttime, but you could all the time get drinks and sandwiches at the galley. Friends told me weeks ago that on both of their longhaul flights they were really happy with a friendly and attentive crew offering drinks all the time once in an hour just going up and down with it without disturbing the sleepers. Just the meals were really good, but a bit small. No problem at all. So TG is back on track with a decent product and very fair prices, if you book early.

All my friends told me the good old days of TG and they speak highly of them too. Throughout my last, recent 5 trips with them almost all of them weren't a good one. Lucky stars are on your friends and your side.

Pretty much sums up my 4 flights with TG. Had 3 surprisingly good flights (CGK-BKK-NRT, HND-BKK) but was screwed at the final return leg where the crews looked extremely depressed...and that was during their anniversary flight, when they donned those traditional uniforms! I mean, seriously, they should've been happy and not depressed, lol.

On 27th june i flew this route on HS-THD and visited the cockpit (my grandmother flew on it on the same route and i had stood under it while it took off then it went into maintanence and came to service like 1 week before i flew on it

Well, let me then say that I'm very satisfied with TG. I fly them every month and sure, there are some little issues but really I can understand because I have an open mind. That's what every passenger should have... open minded. And when there is an issue, it will be always solved. I flew with Singapore, KLM, Eva Air, JAL and what you think? Same same, but just be a positive minded person. Especially after the pandemic all those airlines had to recover or went bankrupt. So you can not expect the same service before the pandemic. Look at the different airports, how many airplanes are still stalled till better times. I always say you can not make everyone happy, it's like that.

Well, let me then say that, even though if people mention something not so positive about TG, doesn't mean that the person who says that has no open mind. So I employ an open mind to read these comments and respond to it. It's funny just because not all words and thoughts can be 100% conveyed in the video, so we presume or deduce that fellow is living up with that kind of perspective. Before the pandemic, I flew many times with TG. Same same, you flew with SQ, KLM, EVA, I also fly. So, like what you say, I always say, you can not make everyone happy. it's like that. 🤣🤣🤣

I flew on Thai from Stockholm to Bangkok and Bangkok to London, the flight was amazing. I thought the crew and food were brilliant, but sorry to hear yours weren't as good. Maybe change the video title? It gives a really negative impression and it really didn't seem that bad in your video.

Can anyone recommend a window seat on the thai airways a350 ? I wanna see something on the ground not only the wing the whole time haha. Empty seats are from row 34 to 45. Maybe something in the end of the wing?

Tbh. I have no idea how to recommend. I usually dislike sitting at zone b with the wing. I prefer zone C row 52-60, for filming purposes (personal preference)

My wife and i had to cancel a thai airways flight last December for legitimate and provable reasons. They refused to answer a single email or phonecall in all that time . For me they are simply thieves in suits.
