OMG, free software FPGA synthesis ! At last, the nightmare is over... Take notes Xilinx, take notes Intel: *this* is what a proper FPGA programming environment should be, not these bloated monstrosities (ISE/Vivado, Quartus...) you've been inflicting on us for years ! Great news from a great channel.

Corrections - In the Verilog code, the 'leds' should have been accessed in MSB to LSB order i.e. 'leds[3:1]', not 'leds[1:3]'. Similarly, the 3 counter bits should have been accessed with 'counter[25:23]'

Dave sent me.... Awesome, i always wanted to do something with an FPGA but all the time, i was concerned about the toolchain and also the philosopy of the companies, giving the hardware FPGA boards away for a "few" bucks, but wanted to get some sort of "return on investment" when you want to do something nice, you either do it on your own, or buy some software modules which will to it on the FPGA for you but they don´t come cheap anymore... So i´m hoping you gonna do basic beginner FPGA course, i gonna follow, i also always wanted to have a reason for having a RasPi now i got a major reason, just bought a RasPi 3B...
