019 Friend Area ~ Swamp (PMD Blue Rescue Team OST)

I always thought this would be named 'Darkness Ridge', simply because this was the first Friend Area where I heard this theme. And then I found out that this also plays at the swamp areas xD I was a Cyndaquil on my first playthrough and my partner was a Chikorita, so I didn't find out about Peanut Swamp and that other swamp until much later. But even though it's under the title 'Swamp'... I'll always associate this song with Absol and it's Friend Area, Darkness Ridge.

I remember I was playing this when I was about 6-7. I would leave this on for about a half-hour listening to this and talking to Absol! My dad would be like: "What are you doing?" and I would say: "I like Absol...." and then he would say: "Okay... carry on... I guess."

Pentatonic scale is the basis for traditional Oriental music (think of "Chopsticks"). This doesn't sound at all like that. I can give you a more thorough answer though when I do the arrangement.

You seem to be quite expert in the musical field: I'm not sure, but I think this music is in Pentatonic Scale (a Scale used also in Popular Western Music). This is why the music sounds like a Medieval ballad. Am I right? Is this music in Penthatonic Scale?

I didn't want to say that this scale is the chinese scale (when you say "oriental music" I think you're meaning the chinese scale, not the Indian or others). This music doesn't seem to use the classical eptatonic scale. After all, you are the expert.
