甲洞 位于吉隆坡西北部，距离市中心约6公里，甲洞是11个马来西亚国会下议院代表吉隆坡选区之一。由于华人移居此地颇久，占据当地人口的64%，所以甲洞无论从政治、经济、社会和文化而言，是一个典型的华人城镇。
除了商业旺区及购物商场林立于此，美食也多不胜数，历史悠久或新开张的餐馆及摊贩处处可见，繁华不在话下，为吉隆坡华人社区的典型美食天堂，如鱼头米粉、叻沙、肉骨茶、云吞面等。美食种类可谓包罗万象。
甲洞卫星市乃甲洞市的郊区之一，已经有五十年历史。
Kepong located in the northwest of Kuala Lumpur, about 6 km from the city centre, is one of the 11 constituencies representing Kuala Lumpur in the Lower House of the Malaysian Parliament. Kepong is a typical Chinese town in terms of politics, economy, society and culture, as the Malaysian Chinese have been living here for a long time and account for 64% of the population.
Apart from the commercial areas and shopping malls, there is also a wide range of food, with historic and newly opened restaurants and stalls everywhere, making it a typical food paradise for the foodie community in Kuala Lumpur, such as fish head rice noodles, laksa, pork bone tea and wonton noodles. The variety of food available is extensive.
Kepong Baru is one of the suburbs of Kepong and has been in existence for 50 years.
