Haha I'm watching that video right now and dreaming of when I can design some CVs for my fledgling Japanese Navy. I appreciate it very much! I've hopefully improved my video/audio enough, after that rocky 1st episode, that people might take interest.

Solid video overall, the changes in the audio and video quality are much welcomed. Your decision to keep the Fuji's was a wise one I completely forgot about their blockade value after looking at their design, silly me. Overall the Japanese fleet is taking shape especially with those delightful new cruisers and that neat victory against the Chinese. Hoping the Asama makes a quick recovery after her latest mishap and can participate in the next battle against the Chinese.

Thanks so much! I've switched from streaming directly to youtube, to instead recording and then uploading, so it should keep desktop quality. I did change one setting, so the next video may look different or may not, depending. If it looks worse, I'll revert the change. As for the battles! I was very pleased with the sinking of the chinese cruiser, those things are powerful and other than the Asama, we're out-gunned in these cruiser actions. I'm relieved that I decided to keep the Fujis for now, otherwise we'd be in a even worse spot for blockade power! I appreciate all of your thoughtful insight and for taking the time to watch. :)

Don't wanna info dump anything--have to let you find your own way! ;-) BUT, since the HE load-out was mentioned, I know what I do in these 1890s is literally set the Doctrine for all ships and all ranges to be HE. And 100% HE ammo. They are my fire-starters! ;-) You DID get an AP tech though, so then I might put the BBs at BBs to be AP. (And now that you are well past the start, the Doctrine would have needed to be tweaked off that.) Getting the BBs to use some AP is important since you HOPE they have the same flaw you do! If you look back at your BB design, the Turret Top armor is ZERO! ;-( Having had too many just blow up due to that, I always see if the game start gave me any lemons like that to correct ASAP. Since you are many episodes ahead already, we'll see if you lost anything due to that or if you managed to get them fixed or scrapped before losing them.

So much good info! Can you add top turret armor during refits? I wasn't too worried about it since these early battles are close range knife fights, no plunging fire, but I am curious!

do AP even matter at these primitive times? saying this from ultimate admiral dreadnought play, but AP is dogsh!t in this time period for japan...its so bad, i dont even want to build battleships until 1900s...

Fyi, in Japanese each syllable ends at the vowel and each syllable receives equal stress. For example, Ya-ma-to rather than Ya-mar-to, Ya-e-ya-ma rather than Yay-yar-ma. Hope that helps.
