My absolute favorite cult classic movie, featuring one crazy fantasy weapon like no other. It is, quite frankly, my favorite fantasy weapon of all time.

You don't even have to watch the movie. Just listening to Horner's beautiful compositions are a blissful experience in of itself.

I miss you so much, James. you affected my life with you music. You made the movies you wrote for so much better. This film, Star Trek II, Willow, Brainstorm, Last of the Mohicans, Braveheart, Aliens...the list goes on. Thank you.

I did not know why I liked the movie...I watched it several times - now listening to the music alone without the story, it was the music that I liked about the movie...James Horner will be missed.

+Elaine Powell I liked it because I was an 8 year old boy and it was a well told adventure/romance/coming of age fantasy story - sure it wasn't original, and it was deeply flawed & cheesy, but it was damn entertaining and you actually cared about the characters.

I wish to God this movie had been a hit. Horner ranks up there with Zimmerman and Goldsmith and doesn't take a backseat to either.

Syphon Filter For what its worth, Horner did compose the music for the two highest-grossing films of all time. ;)

Powerful cinema with an esoteric soundtrack embodied in an epic plot enshrined in a timeless period "the 80's" - simply put an all around masterpiece.

That part between 6:38 and 7:10. You don’t hear that kind of music in movies anymore. Pure, shameless heroism.

I would like to see a remake of this movie . I know most remakes aren't that good but if they stick to the same story just a little more fighting it would be really EPIC tho.

Ever since James Horner died, movie music has died. The LOTR Trilogy was the last memorable score. Just like today's movies, today's scores are just as forgettable.
