I wouldn’t be surprised if the sketches of each of these at the very least aren’t his work. Not to dismiss the contributions of Salvatori, Johnson, and McCartney. The fact this this is called "The Union" means a lot thinking about not only the original final boss of D1 (Sol Inherent in the Black Garden), but now the new power we will wield in The Final Shape. Transcendence is a "Union" of Light and Dark in us, the Guardian. The Traveler knew what we had to do all along. God I hope this plays during the final raid. Even a snippet of this track would be so good.

I still believe that it shouldn't be a raid. It's supposed to be the final mission of the campaign. Just like every other campaign. We defeated Ghaul, Oryx, Skolas, Eramis, Savathun and Calus in the final mission of the campaign. Because our Guardian is supposed to be the legend, the chosen one. We're supposed to fight and destroy the Witness alone and die alone. Because of that raid and that stupid idea Bungie pulled out of his and her shitty ass, it's why I decided that after The Final Shape, I'm leaving Destiny forever. For me, the story of the game ended in that campaign. There. Full conclusion of the story.

D1 made it very clear "You're one of many Guardians", Raids are all canon, its always implied "A fireteam killed X", this chosen one narrative started with Saladin and that crappy Saladin and Siva DLC in which we become one of the Iron Lords. The whole idea of Destiny, especially during these early days, is that there is no "chosen one", we as players, guardians, are all in this together.

I love the soundtracks used in destiny 2, but this is the true sound of destiny to me; basegame to taken king, all the way to rise of iron, it was all so epic, the way the strings and brass shook you in your seat, whilst you peppered eldrich beings with gunfire, slowly chipping away at them until you found that heavy brick, or fully charged your super and unleashed the full power of the traveller apon them. That's how it feels to be a guardian and I would never change it for anything.
