i just left the hole where the reverse switch goes open it don't seem to be leaking anything. Another bonus to having the 02J shifter is that it is a lot easier to adjust, you don't need any special tools just a drill bit

Good to know. I figured it could leak, so id just plug it.

It may not leak. But the moisture and road debris isn’t a good thing to have going into it. But to each their own.
