This is a clone kit based on the OSHW project by Karl and Markus. The main project support documentation is available at mikrocontroller dot net. There are actually 4 support forum threads including the English forum thread on the EEVBlog. I have all three of the main clones sold. I have hacked around with them quite a bit but haven't uploaded most of that. I have fully reverse traced two of these clones and created complete and accurate schematics. These are available on non-monetized uploads on my channel. The schematic is available on Github with links to everywhere relevant and my github stuff in those videos' descriptions. I also tried to get the display from this kit to work using Arduino. I worked with the author of the U8G2 library on Github. He added support for this screen in his awesome graphic display library. There are around 50 total project options I added up and listed awhile back on the eevblog forum thread. I also created a picture index of all of the images from the project forums up until around a year ago because the support threads are enormous and few people read them completely, even though all of their questions have been asked dozens of times over and the threads are loaded with cool custom projects and options. Version 2 of the project (listed in the official product documentation) uses the ATmega644/1284. I've been working on a development board for this that should be really fun for anyone that is interested in exploring this project. It is a 150mm ×150mm single sided board with the bare minimum circuit and a network of breakouts that should enable any project options a person wants to try. The board is not going to be super beginner friendly though as I have left the configuration of the main board completely open and adaptable. I have an SMD version etched and ready to tin/drill/populate. I have the transparency printed and setup ready to mask and etch the DIP IC version any day now. If they both work I will try to post an upload and will add the board files and documentation in detail. I'm slow, and have been chugging along on this for over a year, but almost there ;) Of the clones available from China this one has the best software, but the SMD test pad sucks. I find myself using this one for THD and a "T3/T4" most often and always with SMT. There are 2 official software forks too. You have the Karl Heinz version "KH1.12" as it shows on your display. -Jake

I'm a little "upset" that the micro C. has it's firmware pre loaded. It'd be better if you could download the firmware source. Not so much for this device but definitely for those little oscilloscopes... it'd be great to be able to modify it for my own needs.

I love that you say "trannies"... I haven't heard anyone (except for me) who's called them "trannies" since the 1970s.
