Hi Chris, in your video "Insect terminator reverse engineered (and one-way teardown)" you said there will be a DIY build of such a Terminator circuit. Video dates 2017, will you do a descent high voltage insect killer circuit? Please. Guess this should be round about 2500V but there is the demand for more joule, please make it happen. The Mosquitos will love it, i promise! :). Cheers. P.S.: Would be great to use parts from the old "Insect Terminator" like the Joule Theft if necessary. Please, please make it happen.

Not suitable for installation in UK. Clearly designed for the North American market.

Yes, I think they aim for US market (I think there is a UK / European version). Can be rewired though with suitable conductors and lightbulbs must be changed for 240V.

The ceramic lampholder isn't up to European specification still. A lot of these American style lamp holders have flooded the market and they just aren't safe enough for 240v AC. Especially the metal shell holders with card insulators 😬

Agreed. The exposed screw thread and bare earth wire are a huge warning sign

Thanks for drawing my attention to it. I would not suspect that ceramic fitting could be an issue. I will definitely have a closer look at those.

Don't think bare earth is an issue in itself, I mean that's why we have the green yellow sleeving available, right?
