I ate golf ball sized plums today from Bosses, Husbands tree at their place. The skins were tart good.

Thank you for showing the thorns so few people do! Some places selling them don't even mention them! I think that's the first close up on them I've seen - looks like a hawthorn thorn?

Jujubes! We planted three of the trees last spring and had hundreds of them to harvest over the past two weeks. I think I’m going to try to juice some to try making wine….

@@Green.Country.Agroforestry We have some percolating right now so it will be about 30 days before I can say BUT I’m hoping it will be good! Our peach wine last year really tasted bad. On the flip side, our apple vinegar worked out great!

I thought that jujubes were man-made gelled-sugar confectionary. It seems that the name of the confectionary came from the name of this tree.

They don't taste anything like, however - the little fruits really do taste just like apples, but less tart. They are more closely related to pears and buckthorns than apples, though!
