During an awesome dive, I stumbled upon a scene straight out of a nature documentary: a huge Moroko fish and young Amberjacks living together like best buds. It's not just a crash pad situation; there's more going on here. Usually, you'd see Cleaner Wrasses getting all up in the Moroko's grill, picking off parasites. But these young Amberjacks? They might be doing their own kind of favor for the big guy. It's all about give and take in the underwater world.
Seeing this underwater teamwork got me thinking deep-like, origins-of-life deep. Back in the day, aerobic bacteria hitched a ride inside some early cells, eventually evolving into mitochondria, our cells' powerhouses. This dive was a glimpse into the wild ways life forms have teamed up to make it through the ages. Pretty mind-blowing, right?
