As always..simplicity at its best... so glad to revise the relation for finding out optimum # of stages for a given overall pressure ratio the way I learnt it in first place... Rightly said, T2, at the exit of first stage shall be limited by available heat load cooling capacity of inter cooler so that is one of the crucial limiting factor for number of stages.. [Yep last equation should be Temp ratio raised to (n/n-1)]
