I was born in 1980 and I have to agree with you that The Ventures were legends. I also think that Mel Taylor is a legendary drummer next to Max Weinberg.

Dont get many chances to hear ventures sing Don does nice job of Del's runaway , Nokie's solo works nice too replacing the keyboards
