I haven't followed Initial D since Fourth Stage. Wasn't that the TRD racing engine he bought in Second/Third Stage? And he managed to kill it? Difficult to get another one, I'm sure..

@@alvatoredimarco yes. He did manage to kill it. Would highly recomend 5-6 stages. In the anime he keeps the ae86 shell. In the manga he scraps it. He revs up to 12,500 rpm for a time over a couple seconds. It destroyed the block

this series was a huge inspiration to get into racing games. Learned a lot about racing from kinds of cars to styles of driving. understandable that a lot of it is exaggerated in the Anime but there are good pointers to learn from in the show. Even inspired me to build up an ae86 similar to the Initial D star in Forza MS3 and tuned it to race down the Fujimi Kaido tracks. I got it to the point I would win races down the track against cars that were a class or two higher than my 86 using shallow drifts around the tight narrow turns. I miss that track. Hope Forza brings it back in the future.
