Just after 7:30 pm Saturday Caney Creek and Porter Fire were dispatched to a reported head-on collision on FM 1314 near Village Way. Units arrived on the scene to find three vehicles with heavy damage. One vehicle in the ditch had three occupants trapped. Crews immediately went to work. A FOrd F-150 involved had one female driver with serious injuries. A BMW 428i had a male trapped in the driver's seat, a female trapped in the passenger seat, and a 12-year-old female in the back seat. All with critical injuries. They were able to get the passenger of the BMW out first and transport her in critical condition to Memorial Hermann in the Woodlands in critical condition. The 12-year-old in the back seat was also taken to Memorial Hermann Woodlands in critical condition which included a severe leg injury. She was later flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in Houston. The driver of the BWi had both legs trapped under the dashboard. Fire crews had to cut the doors off and attempt to roll the dashboard with rescue tools. This as MCHD Medics frantically worked to keep the driver alive as he was in very critical condition. Once they got hi out he was taken to Kingwood Hospital where at midnight he was still very critical with life-threatening internal injuries. The driver of the Hyundai involved was not injured. The driver of the F-150 was transported to Kingwood Hospital in serious but stable condition.
FM 1314 was completely closed as DPS investigated the crash. Troopers learned that the Ford F-150 was traveling north on FM 1314 and failed to negotiate the curve just north of Village Way. She crossed the center lanes striking the Hyundai first. She then continued and slammed into the BMW head-on. The impact launched a bed toolbox more than 100 feet scattering tools across the roadway. DPS Troopers were able to determine the female driver of the F-150 was intoxicated and did find open containers in her vehicle. FM 1314 reopened at 10:30 pm.
