048 - Hastings Caves & Australia's Most Southern Pub - The Big Lap - Tasmania

Hi guys, we are David & Jeanette and together we are Low Range 4X4 Adventures.
This week we left Cockle Creek and headed for Southport the home of the most Southern Pub in Australia, we spent a couple of night at the caravan park and explored the area including a visit to Hastings Caves and Thermal Pools, even if you are not interested in caves this place is worth a visit just for the amazing scones with jam and cream.

That was good. We visited when I was very young. Your Grandpa sat beside the thermal pool with his legs in the warm water and steam rising around him. I think they have a newer pool, but the building is just as I remember it. Lovely.

C'mon, we where waiting for yous to brave the pool, 😄 , lots of hidden adventures in Tassie, I remember my first trip to Burnie in 1975, My local cousin tried to get me to swim in ocean, no way, I'm a Queenslander, By the way I was in Hobart 3 wks after the bridge collapse, Have slides of bridge, My uncle drove us down to see sights of Hobart.
