Tomatoes are great for lazy farming, but if you do the math, it's one of the worst money/day ratio. Just drop lots of seed makers, make sure to get all the starry seeds you can and do rice until you can do berries and then apples. Then just do 8 apples and maybe keep one plot for cooking ingredients. That way watering the right corner means you are watering 4x9 slots AT ONCE, AND apples have the highest gold/day ratio. Drop fertilizer on top and it's even better. Drop down a lot of jam makers, and bam, best current money/slot and least amount of watering/replanting/slot.

If they nerf this I will honestly stop playing. It is the only and most convenient way to make gold. I've tried hunting and fishing and Bug catching and cooking and everything else, and they are just annoying. I looked into farming in a really efficient way and it's just annoying. This is just all Tomatoes all seeds and a decent stream of income. If they remove that, it will be too tedious for me to put more time into the game and I will honestly just be done. Even with this, I still always need money. For more machines or licenses or a million other things. To support my goal of unlocking every decorating item. So honestly hopefully they don't nerf this.

I don't get why the nerfed the hunting, sometimes I see 5 or 6 of us in same area trying to hunt, that sorta sucks. I can see them messing with farming cuz well in my case I do it alone & you don't have to constantly be on top of it, but hunting bah frustrates me when I'm chasing a senlak & someone scares it off or shoots it before I do.

I plant all tomatoes but plant couple rows per day to try to have harvest every day once they all are grown. Day 1 will plant 27 seeds on rows, 1/ 5/ 9; Day 2 plant 18 seeds on rows 2/6, day 3 on rows 3/7, and on day 4 rows 4/8... so once all are growing, every other row would yield fruit every day until you have to plant seeds again. Sure you don't get the BIG payout when you plant everything at once. but I like how easy it is to manage.

The point of an AFK farm is not having to water, that is why the layout is important, you aren't going to "wake up rich" if while you were sleeping you missed watering plus you do have to go back every hour to two hours to water, making this not an AFK farm at all, it is just a basic tomato farm.

WARNING: 7:23 As of right now, you can only have 1 entrance (Harvest House) on your ground, DO NOT buy multi of those as the game will tell you "cant place more of said item". Its stupid imo and hopefully will be fixed later on, i mean, if you have a gaint house, surely one will think 2 or 3 entrance had been nice (2 front, 1 back side), but noo, you can only have 1 harvest house build pr ground. Apple trees add a boost, but takes up all nine spots in 1 plot. So it might not be worth it. Regular trees do NOT provide any kind of boost.

Water retain is nice and all but in the end Tomato plants have 4x more yield and make things a lot easier (bag/chest management wise, seed hopper wise, glow worm farm wise, layout plant speed wise and cooking wise). Just watering isnt as good but thats the only - vs all the +++

Starting out the best money maker is hunting hands down.. period. There is no contender... and he has made multiple guides regarding that. This guide is definitely for mid-game players for sure. With this guide you can use it as a starting point.. start with 2 plots and one or 2 seed makers.. and grow from there. Farming is always worth investing in whether it's beginner or late game.

good but at your farming level, quality boost is probably worth it. personally i use quality fertiliser, sacrifice 17 plots for wheat or rice (can also make stir fry for food now). only 4 tomato plants arent covered with my layout and this gives me much more quality tomatos. (you could use harvest fert and cotton ofc as well). Word is at farming level 25 quality seeds are enough for 100% quality results and no extra quality boost is needed

Could you explain how fertilizer works? Im confused on it. Each day it ticks, one of the fertilizer goes away. So is that harvest boost count stacking each day til its harvested? Or is it just not working at all if its being used on the days that aren't a harvest day? I can't tell if Im just wasting my fertilizer.

I started the game by only planting what the most profitable crop which is tomatoes, from one plot to nine only planted tomatoes now 1 month later i earn 500k plus, already bought, 2 med room, 3 large room, 1 extra harvest room and courtyard also bought furniturea in underground, I then discovered that there is plot layout which is mix plants, i tried it but i go back to tomatoes and apple xD

Its definitely not worth doing like this, this way will require a lot of work from you! You got 160 star quality tomatoes from having 81 totamto plants with no boost what so-ever. Yes you can apply boost with Fertilizers, but they tick each day -1 so it would consume -81 fertilizers each real life hour!! And crafting 1 Harvest Boost Fertilizer is = 1 real life hour, so do the math. It wont work! And doing it this way you must water the plants EACH day.. so if you're out farming or doing stuff you will have the stress knowing you have to cancel it each hour to go water your plants in order for the plants to grow. If you use a template plot with Harvest Boost and Water Retain (its really not hard, there's guides on it) you will have around 45 Tomato Plants, and that will give you around 90 Quality Tomatoes! And remember, this is without needing to water each day. Even with this setup you will have more tomatoes that you have seed makers for. It all comes down to how many seed makers you have really! I have 8 seed makers as well and I have like 200 quality tomatos in my chest that I dont have seed makers for.. So its worth checking out a guide on how to plant your crops in a smart way to minimize the work on the plot each day! But thanks for the video!

It depends what you want. Your point is correct that you do have to put a lot more time into it this way. I have set up like this and I have to always be watering and weeding. But I have so many tomatoes and I use the quality fertilizer from the regular worm machines. I have more fertilizer than I know what to do with. I just always put the regular tomatoes in the worm machines and the quality tomatoes in the seed machines. The leftover regular Tomatoes can be used in cooking. You can cut down on how many tomatoes you have and do a pattern like you mentioned and that would be much easier for people who are just running around or don't want to worry about their Farm. But if I have to run out, I anyway have to keep returning to manage my inventory and sell or keep things so I can clear space again. If I play for a few hours, it's not a huge deal to return home once every hour or two or even three. You don't need to be hyper-efficient and manage your farm every single hour. You would have to do that if you want to maximize everything, but it doesn't always have to be perfect. I do think never having to water or weed my garden would be so nice, but doing it this way I don't have to think about patterns and I also get so many seeds to sell and tomatoes for fertilizer and for cooking. So I don't think one way is better than the other just depends what you want to do with your time.

People please note: It now takes 3 tomatoes to make 1 tomato seed ....... so 3 x gold star tomatoes @ 34 gold each (total of 102 gold) becomes 1 seed with the value of 60 gold .... making tomato seed is fine if you plan to plant them .... but making your gold star tomatoes into seed and then sell the seeds, you will lose money

This is exactly what I did. The only difference now is I have one apple tree in the middle. And then I pick the apples and put them in the preserves to be jarred. And then I can use these jars now for my focus and not have to cook anymore, because I find cooking boring. I believe each apple preserve get something like 350 Focus?

This is for lazy farmers :D Having to replant complicated layouts is 10x more labor intensive. Watering with exquisite can literally takes seconds, as well as planting the plant. It can take you a lot of time to replant different plants every time and you also want to harvest them at different moments for maximum yield so its a chaotic mess imo. But ofc you could do that if you dont want to water every now and then, but trust me in the long run it will cost you A LOT more time, i tried it

If you dont have glow worm farms you can do tomato and rice. The rice can then be used to make sashimi which you can put in your glow worm farms when you eventually get it, or just sold as is. Alternatively you can do tomato and potato and seed everything if you want to just keep the process streamlined.

You have no idea how much gold you need? :d for starters, the final backpack upgrade is 50K, 2 chests are 125K togethers, add in some house upgrades and max lv blueprints and you'll have a shopping list of +300K very fast

By the time my fishing skill is high enough to buy the next fishingpole, I've caught and sold so many fish, I have more than enough gold to buy the blueprint. No need to grind anything. Just enjoying the gameplay in a financially well balanced game. I saw an arcade game console for sale in Zeki's basement for 10.000. Then I figured what the extra money is for.

@@Firise the arcade machine is 60k, you can get up to 30 machines on the home and the price per machine gets up to 32k for the last machine slot, if u want the gazebo unlocked it costs 235k, final backpack is 50k, to get iron storage costs 125k (copper + iron upgrade) some of the higher quality wallpapers are 25k each, allot of items at the night market range from 8-20k, so there are plenty of things to spend money on. sadly the game is not really balanced for earning cash tho, the cake cooking parties can net you gold cap in afew hours pretty easily.

@@Firise oh true, the most expensive utility stuff would be the machine slots, bag space, and storage upgrades then, which are still combined around 400-500k? it all depends on what ur goal is in the game as well, money is just a means for most to decorate their home, so farming gold could be seen as needed for some of the more expensive peices (like that gazebo) also most tool upgrades are not needed, only the axe and pickaxe would probably be considered nessisary for the materials, everything else just makes farming alittle easier in their respective professions. money also allows you to buy the materials u may hate to farm, like silk or iron, i probably have spent 100k on silk and iron alone but i need so much for the stuff i want to do.

There has always been a kick after a certain amount of time. You can't afk for 24 hours and come back still logged in. Sometimes the server restarts, updates for mainenance etc as well. im not sure its worth it to convert to seeds. 1 tomato is $34 , it takes 2tomatoes+time to get a pack of seed that cost $60. if its not gonna be more than the cost of two tomatoes which is $68 then whats the point?

i do all high ranked tomatos but i dont say i got so much every day because tomatos need time to grow.... its not every day and 7k - 8k is much more realistik as 15k-30k

i have a little short of 50k for final back pack. should i spend it on the upgrade or on my farm ? got 4 plots and 8 "machines" invest in 4 more plots and some seed makers or the back pack for grindage ?

Way better to invest in your farm. The bigger your farm and the more you can plant the more money you will make and the faster you'll be able to make back the money to get that 50k for the backpack.

Also this has been nerfed... it's 3 plants per 2 seeds... not as worth to spam them.... Do a GRID Layout of 4 different crops and you'll get high quality crops 75% of the time.... still can be done AFK, also 100% hydration and 100% weed free... truly afk.

How did you get the Harvest Boost Level 3? With the fertilizer from Glow Worm Farm, they still are only on Harvest Boost 1 for me. Please adivce :)

Just place more seeds on one soil, doesnt increase level but the fertility 'length' in time. Harvest boost 10 means youve placed 10x the fertilizer which will last 10 in game days or 10 real hours

Because the star tomatoes are more valuable and increase even more in value when turned into seeds! Better place normal tomatoes in glow worm farms because its not a different result you get from them, but this farm makes so many potatoes i dont mind putting in star quality every now and then as long as my glow farms keep running

Time is really the crux. Even with all of his seed makers he is producing way more then they can process in a day. So he prioritizes the higher value return (being the star), and most likely just throws the rest in the sell bin. FYI: Planting star seeds has a % chance to give you a star return. The higher your skill also adds a %. At least that is what I heard from another YT'er with 20 some skill. As to the worm farm.. I don't know if using a star veg will produce more or not. I assume not, but like I said don't know. Would have to try it out.

I am pretty sure it was stealing furniture & crops can only be harvested by who plants them & the housing plot belongs too. I was not able to plant or harvest at friends plots. U can hoe & water but that is it. Plus just change & lock your plots before getting off for the night.

It is all unlocked by just gardening & leveling up the gardening skill. Badruu has the gardening shop for plot, & hoe & watering can upgrade. (Hover over each skill & it shows a picture of corresponding NPC in charge of said skill) seeds are at Zeki's general store.

Tried it out and it wasn't bad, but it was really annoying to have to water it constantly. So I didn't get to wake up and have a free harvest. I'm gonna try alternating rows of tomato and potato and see how that does.

May I just point out that each step in the gardening process equals experience in gardening? Tilling the soil, planting, watering, weeding, fertilizing, harvesting. If you cut out two steps, and cut down on a third (not so many replantings) then you're slowing down your progress with gardening. Which means slower to garner farming reknown and therefore things from Barduu's shop to decorate with. But to each their own. After all, theoretically, this game isn't about having scads of game money, but getting the best home decorator items lol. This is a fishing game, with house decorating as end game activity, at this point in development. Obviously this will change, but they've set such high costs for desired items like getting the gazebo etc. so that money making becomes the real goal, but technically it isn't, if you just want to play aspects of the game. I have no horse in this race, and any info or advice on how to improve money making is welcome, but surely that isn't the entire point of the game?
