Thank you for this. Just bought this exact bike. Prepping it for the riding season here in PA. Good and honest review. Will feature this bike on my young channel soon. One thing though. They do make a flyscreen for this model, mine came with one on it

I bought my 620ie Monster about 3 years ago with 22,000kms on the clock and paid $5k for it. Am I happy with it, you bet. I really love it and for the money nothing comes close to what it offers. Mine has the front screen (it’s red) and Termies. I love the sound it makes, though if it had come with the original stock cans, I would either have gone for a set of Mivv GPs (like on Ducati NYC’s 620 or alternatively a set of Contis. As for the cost of parts, all I can say is that it’s been really cheap to run so far. No major expenses and has been completely reliable. I actually like the dials on my bike, and even at night am more than happy with them. The only thing I wish it had was a fuel gauge. As for it being air cooled, so far this hasn’t been an issue at all. I agree the seat height is perfect, I am 6.1 ft and enjoy being able to put both feet flat on the ground. For me the bike has plenty of power/torque, I don’t need any more. As for the riding position for a longer ride, it’s fine. I went for a two hr ride last weekend and that wasn’t a problem, it was just bloody freezing here. (Tassie). Ducati NYC has ridden his bike all over parts of the US left alone up to Canada and I can’t say I have ever heard him complain re the riding position. However, your absolutely right, the best thing about owning and riding a Ducati is the shear pleasure you get from this, to me it just feels incredibly special. For the money a Monster costs, they are impressive value and have potentially the hallmarks of becoming a collector bike. My brother in law has 3 classic bevel Ducatis (750 GT, 750 SS and 900 Darmah SD) and when I am out with him on my Monster, I don’t feel like I am on a lessor bike.

Like the actual content. don't need the intercuts to unrelated stuff. they just break the narrative.

Thanks for the review. My old bike was an 800cc and I always said I would never go lower. Have seen a few videos now saying not to be discouraged by the 600 tag.

I’m here because I looking at getting a 620. I’m just concerned it won’t be powerful enough. I don’t need a panagale but I don’t want to get bored with it in a few weeks. Also concerned with belt services..ect

sorry for the late reply, just really depends on what you prefer! if your looking at the 600cc, GREAT bike to get! but if your looking for more power on the top end, then a 800cc might be better. My bike has great lower end torch and love from 15mph to 70! top end not the best. but i love my 600! I would NEVER go below 600...too weak on bottom or upper. hope that helps. =)

Thanks, I ended up buying a 2007 buell XB9SX the day after posting that comment. Still looking for some type of monster as a 3rd bike tho. Something about a monster that just makes you want one. Side note to anyone reading this a buell xb9 won’t disappoint.. as far as power goes anyway.

I love my year 2000 600M on twisting roads. I hate not riding my year 2000 600 M. I live in the U.K. and it rains a lot. I still ride it. I am a 70 year old fool.

Have to ask: what exhaust/slip-on did you install?
@Clintastic

a older model Delkevic Slip on Carbon Oval Exhaust. I personally didn't install it but that's what the guy told me that I bought it off from. I love the deeper sound it makes. Thanks for asking.
