It was the first thing I noticed as well. If it weren't my car and I just walked into their shop I would quickly decide that I should find another shop. That is simply something you do NOT do, period! If it were my car and I walked in and saw it, I would go ballistic!!! They would forever remember the day that picky damned TC owner got pissed.

Thank you for sharing and helping others! your time is greatly appreciated!I am about to do this job and I'm wondering do I need to disconnect any wire harness under the dash board in order to slide the dash out? and since I'll be removing the actuators I want to replace my heater core as well, and in that case will i need to pull the dash completely out of the car to gain access? or will it come out with the dash as far out as in the video? There's actually 7 actuators 2 of which you didn't even show. Both of which you absolutely must pull the entire dash to access.

The mode door actuators are on the back of the dash. If you pull the dash the vent and defrost actuators are on the back side of the dash. That would be #4 and #5. They are not on the bottom of the HVAC unit. It does not have to be removed. I found out that the hard way.

Hello Boss, my 2007 is still leaking after i removed the cowling and resealed that filter under the cowling on the passenger side. I think i will have to remove the dash to properly locate the leak. How long did it take to remove the dash like that? Thanks.

To remove the dash ,to access the heater core and ac evap. Core about a hour. To remove the hvac housing unit, probably another hour

So I repaired my father’s car and 4and 5 are actually connected to the part attached to the dash. It must be flipped over to get to them. Note be extremely careful with the steering shaft inside the column it will come apart and is easily messed up.

You can order the actuators by their names, or by what they control. Yes they all will be a little different.

The 07 only has 2 temperature blend doors. There is no need to take off the dash either.

I have an 07. It looks like I'll need to pull the dash back to replace 3 of the 5. My blend door actuator is bad but if I'm pulling the dash I'm replacing the 3. I think I might as well replace the heater core as well since I'm there. Any thoughts??

The blend door actuators are on the sides of the heater box. One for the driver side and one for the passenger. You don't need to remove the heater box or the dash to replace either one. The driver side one is kind of difficult but It can be done without removing the dash. The recycle one is easy. Just lower the glove box. The mode doors (4 and 5) are like I said at the back of the dash. the dash must be removed to get to them.

No you don't need to pull the dash at all. This video is very misleading.

@@johnb4859 blendoor 3 is easy. You remove the panel insulation. Then remove the vacuum line and lighting control module. Then the blend door 3 is right there. You got to in under the dash at the floor board on your back. That's the only way to reach it. It sucks and is very awkward to get to. But it can be done.
