06 - Revit API - Family Manager Plugin - Dockable Pane, Revit and WPF

Revit can handle WPF forms (Windows Presentation Foundation) as dockable panes in user interface. Here we start to develop simple Family Manager plugin that will handle not loaded family documents and projects. First step is to create dockable pane and register it in zero state document. WPF will provide us modern looking ui with animations and sleek graphics. We will learn a bit of XAML language in next videos. Comment if you think that code can be simplified or if something is not clearly presented. WPF is designed MVVM (model view view-model) programming pattern in mind. Whole idea is to separate logic from ui and to made more modular design approach to design ui applications and plugins.

Hi @Marko Thx for sharing your code. How to acces ActiveUIDocument into your FamilyManagerDockPane? You do a registration when Application started, and make a dp.Show() on ExecuteCommand, but, when or how to pass the commanddata? Thx.
