Ratty Ruff takes care of the books in the secret library. The Pufferfish see him disappear into a tree. Could that be the secret library? The library has secret opening hours. In The Seaweed Forest , dinner awaits with dad. Perhaps the ant people in The Whispering Woods can provide the opening hours?
In The Seaweed Forest, anything can happen. It's an adventure realm for children in a modern world. Here, the Pufferfish family - Lucie, Greenie, and Blueface - live with their father. From The Seaweed Forest, they can swim out into The Silent Depth, into The Whispering Woods, out to sea, and into the river from The Snowy Mountains. This landscape is inhabited by various characters, creating a challenging yet safe and enjoyable environment where children can identify with different characters in the stories.
The naive and curious Pufferfish ask questions to all the new characters they encounter. Each story begins with their morning awakening and ends with their return home to their father in the evening after their day's adventures. Any little drama that arises during the action is always resolved before nightfall. This structure is recognizable and creates security.
