062624 - Devotional - What We Can Know

For the believer, we can be confident in life because of the truths of God’s Word. In fact, we can KNOW things for certain and that gives us confidence for life and living. For this week’s devotional we will look into Romans 8:28 which reads; “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”
Notice that it says that we “know” that God is working all things for the good. What a wonderful statement. It’s something we want to be true, but how do we know that this promise is true? Think about it. There are times in life when it appears that nothing good is happening. We hear every day about wars, and relationship problems, and financial difficulties, and devastating diseases, and tragedies, and a host of people who are looking to make others their victims. So, if we can’t “know” this promise is true by simply looking around, how do we conclude it is true at all?
