That Emporia plant shuttered back in 2007. It used to be a full kill plant. But that shut down in 2007. It turned into just a freezer forwarding plant. And those employees will be offered a position at other plants. Not easy to pack up and leave, however Tyson is NOT leaving them high and dry.

Soon as I get my eye treatments done I'll be ready to get back on Rd. Be n over a year dealing with eye surgeries and treatments due to glaucoma and a cataract laser surgery with a lens implant and now caused my tear ducts to not work properly so dealing with that

Side note about those dumb truckers who take their 30 at the fuel island. Once you get to the truck stop put your clock on “ON DUTY YARD MOVES” When you get to the pump, switch to OFF DUTY. When done fueling set it back to ON DUTY YARD MOVES and find a place to park!!! By then you’ll only have to wait 5 minutes and you won’t bother everyone else!!!!!

Can't do yard moves in a public yard... A truck stop is public, also you can't be on-duty to fuel. If you get caught that's a ticket for EVERY instance you do it.

I would've reported her to her company for blocking the fuel island. I always reported these drivers that blocked the fuel islands. They have no common courtesy, no dedication to other drivers.

Something to consider for anyone that is sitting in their seat on their phone in the fuel island. Not everyone fuels the same way. Some actually have to set it up in an app or call their company. It happens. I have been that person myself. Now, I agree, most are just taking a break and playing in the phone but some are actually trying to get fuel while sitting in their seat. We don't all do it the same.

Tyson is not going anywhere in terms of the trucking industry. There is too much logistics for Tyson. Though they are consolidating the company, Tyson can't consolidate or minimize the carriers who deliver for them. I drove for a refrigerated company for three years and some deliveries or backhauls were with Tyson.

Tyson has bought out several small poultry operations down here in Arkansas. Tyson at one time had hog farms then one day Tyson announced to its hog farm growers they were closing down the hog operation and they did close down the hog portion. The growers sued Tyson and did get a small settlement. Tyson has done a lot of their growers very dirty. I would hate to know that I would have to depend on Tyson. The corporate Tyson don't care about their employees or their poultry growers. Take food with you on the truck it's much healthier than eating food from a truck stop. Truck stop food is not sanitary just watch the store clerk will hand you pizza or other food just after handling money or a fuel receipt or scale ticket.

You got yourself a woman and a dog all y’all sleeping on that little bunk and the dog is licking itself nonstop too wow I’ve owned plenty of dogs and cats and they ALL STINK UP MY HOUSE yup so I got rid of them ALL but to think about that Smell inside the truck and how small and tiny it is all cramped up inside there and you all passing gas using the bathroom I know it’s rough…… HAPPY HOLIDAYS IS THE LEAST I CAN SAY BUT I DOUBT IT IS GOING TO DO ANY GOOD I can’t imagine the dirty clothes piling up too I know I you ready to throw them away I know your clothes are carrying a stench and odor I know it’s wreaking inside them people truck it’s going to be somebody forced to scrub that truck out with bleach to disinfect it
