07 Basics of HF X ray Generator

This video describes the basics of High-Frequency X-Ray Generators and meant for those who are already familiar with the principles of conventional or line frequency x-ray generators.
Though this video is primarily intended for Service Engineers working with Diagnostic X-ray machines and CT scanners, I hope that this video would be equally helpful for Sales engineers associated with selling these products. Also X-ray Technicians or Radiographers who use Diagnostic X-ray machines & CT scanner systems, day in and day out, will get better insight of the physics and the working principles behind the machines they use. Nevertheless, Bio-medical engineering students will also find this useful in learning about X-Ray machines & CT scanners.

Thank you very much for the nice presentation. I have been looking for a while for a presentation on HF x-ray generator. I have 3 questions for you: - How long has this technology for x-ray generation been on the market? Since IGBT and MOSFET are well known to us! - Does a so-called conventional X-ray (for single X-ray imaging) or a CT have the HF generator? How is about C-arm X-ray machine in operation room? How they work? - Could you please give some more key advantages of the HF generator over a line frequency generator for X-ray machines?

@@freyrazi22721. HF technology helps to reduce size of bulky generators used in conventional x-ray machines, especially the transformer. 2. The ripple in DC in output after rectification is reduced and as such it produces steadier kV output. 3. The output control of the generator is faster & better
