I’m one of those that absolutely love every iteration of QOTSA, But I’ve discovered as much as I dig Joeys drumming, Jon is far more precise and has better time keeping. Jon was an excellent addition to the band.

I love how Joey plays the bassdrum from 5:15 onward. He adds this extra slick hit which gives the beat a bit more bounce. I tend to prefer Jon's drumming since he's more consistent keeping tempo, but on this song, Joey absolutely freaking slays.

This! THIS IS ROCK MUSIC. No one could touch them across the first x 3 albums no matter who was in the band. It was ALL good. They all brought it. So exciting to see them back then. I'm sure going to see then now will piss all over whatever pale excuse is being foisted upon the youth.
