thanks MM, for all your hard work :o) this storyline is too forced and farfetched. everyone keeps saying that andy and christian cheated, but no one can remember OR has proof that anything ever happened. it really isn't realistic at all. olli should be mad at christian for getting wasted, but he really can't accuse him of cheating if no one knows if it happened at all. the fact that jessica was the 3rd person should set off major alarms for everyone.

The opinions are many and very different, as always; as much of a read as the VL scripts and as much of a contrived Soap Opera and VL. Soap Operas = contrived. The actors are responsible for "justifying" the mess with their acting. You guys are fun!

This has gone from drunken stuper, to "what really happened", to "cheating", to a "lapse", to "slept with". Christian trying to explain this drove me crazy. Trying to explain why he and Andi were there getting drunk is one thing, but how can he be explaining details they don't even remember? Forgiveness is needed, but Christian needs to prove he can control his reactions too. At least Christian clearly wants his relationship with Olli, I'm not convinced what Olli is wanting at this point

I'd like to know if Christian defines the "lapse" as "I got drunk and out of control when I was upset" or... "I felt attracted to a woman". Seems like there may be a bit of revisionist history going on because at the time of the Miriam and Rebecca kisses there was no implication that Christian was "attracted" to them or had romantic or sexual designs on them whatsoever. Miriam kiss: drunk and silly, 1st Rebecca kiss: see Olli's explanation of Coco kiss, 2nd Rebecca kiss: he meant to hurt Olli.

@cyryac Yeah, Oliver identifies himself as bisexual. Having said that, he expects everyone to see the world beyond black and white, but refuses to see it himself. As for Christian, he was never really "in the closet" until after he miraculously fell in love with Oliver. Up until that point, he was exclusively heterosexual.

@lindapia85 after they lost Lilli Chrolli started fighting because Olli want to try have another child but Christian doesn't because he didn't want to get hurt again. After another fight Christian get drunk and wake up half naked with Andi and Jessica. Christian and Andi didn't remember what happened but Jessica told them that they had sex with her. Christian confessed immediately to Olli (while Andi didn't tell Helena until recently) but Olli isn't sure he can't forgive Christian

@jarabaa That's exactly why the only explanation is Jessica drugged their drinks, they passed out, she then removed their clothes and set them in positions where they would wake up thinking something happened. I even think Christian was unconscious when she took the picture of his head resting on her breast. It's the ONLY explanation for why they both can't remember anything, because nothing happened! So Trust is the real issue since Olli and Helena should've believed the guys don't remember.

I don't think the problem is that Christian cheated on Olli specifically with a woman (again). I think the problem is that he chose to marry Olli and we all known he loves him, yet he again decides to cheat on him when he's upset and/or stressed. THAT's the problem: the CHEATING, not the WOMEN.

Cheating is cheating. If your partner is emotionally intimate with another guy THAT is considered cheating. It's not only about physical intimacy. Christian hooked up with Jessica, Christian kissed Miriam, Christian will go on to do a bit more with women. That's his default way of coping unfortunately!

@Chriagon - There's no question as far as I am concerned - it is Christian all the way. I think I like CHristian more, not just because I think he is more handsome, but he seems to be less troubled. Olli always has such a pained look on his face, like he is on the verge of tears half the time.

@Iguana93 That's a very strange definition you have. To me, and most people I know, there are to types of cheating:1. Physical cheating - you're out a bar, see someone hot, dance with them all night, have drinks and sleep with them. Cheating, but purely based on physical attraction. 2. Emotional Cheating - say there is a co-worker at your place that you start to crush on, these feelings develop over time and you're relly into them or in love. Its based on personality/emotion but still cheating

I was just saying, that at no point was there for any of the two someone they would want to have a relationship with other than each other. Christian was never really interested in Miriam nor Jessica, Olli may have been momentarily stricken by Rob, but that's all. They have alternately apologized and said those were stupid mistakes and that is true. From definition, cheating is something you do behind your partner's back. Confessed isolated drunken episodes should not be relationship ending.

@olliegast I think Ollie is suspicious because while they have been together Christian has kissed women three times which is a pattern. Whenever Olli asks Christian if he is into women again (he asked him this when they almost broke up about Rob) Christian always says "I'm into you." They have never really talked about Christian's feelings about women. I agree with you that they have made it really clear that he is attracted to Olli but it doesn't mean that he doesn't still miss women.

It is truly hard to decide whether or not C can be giving a 2nd chance after this big cheat. I do not agree with O that it is better for C to cheat with a guy (come on!! at least C is always honest!). Though I can understand why. However, this is just hard for both sides, one is too vulnerable and act so stupid and one is too much in love and committed that he seems to forgot about the obstacles in marriage and life. CO will forever be in love. This situation is hard to avoid

I'm not obsessed about anything, but I have my own outlook about what's going on with Christian just like everyone else. If someone is going to debate with me and call me names, then they better make sure they can back it up. Sometimes soap operas need to make some thoughts/feelings explicit or at least explain them. It's crystal that Christian loves Olli and I could more than 5 previous situations to support my argument. Similarly, based on what has been shown, we could say it's obvious that Christian is sexually attracted to Olli. So, why is Olli so suspicious about Christian's sexual preferences? It's just because what he (supposedly) did or is something been hidden?

I will add my grain of sand about Ollie and Christian. Yeah, obviously both are gorgeous. Ollie has the problem that being his unsecure and always sensitive tearful self, it gets less pretty. Vulnerability only is attractive in small and really justified doses. Christian has the problem of the eternal dissatisfied mood, mostly cold face, as if the entire gay thing is forced on him and just accidentally just for Ollie, and that makes him useless as a fantasy (and script) quarry.

I said that I don't believe anything really happened. And you're exaggerating. Nobody said anything about "every second night". It was very obvious who initiated the whole thing - Jessica. And Christian apologized very honestly and it was obvious it didn't mean absolutely anything. In that case I would not let it destroy my relationship. Obviously it depends on how well you know the other person. Olli trusted what Jessica told him over what Cris was telling him. It was a failure on both sides.

I know I keep calling this storyline absurd. But the absurdity fascinates me now. Within the "thinking" of this plotline there are two alternatives. If Jessica is lying, how can she be so sure that both Andi and Christian will (always) be so totally incapable of remembering anything? OR, if she's telling the truth: can people really be so drunk that they can have full-scale sex with someone (in the presence of others) and remember absolutely nothing? (Has anyone here heard of such a thing?)

If you watch the first 2 years of Christian's character, you'd see that he was not originally written to be gay. The writers just needed a significant storyline for him, so they made him fall in love with another man with no other indication that he's exclusively gay. If you want to call the writers out for inconsistency, you might wanna start there. Call me whatever you like; I'm just stating the facts. :-)

Olli kissed by Rob absolutely out of the blue = not cheating, Christian giving Miriam a kiss completely drunk = not so innocent, but still not cheating, Christian kissing Miriam out of spite = stupid, but still not cheating. Being assaulted by a lying cow = not cheating.
