@Marilyn Modest, I have lifted your name in prayer and I will continue to do so. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." We are called to put on the whole armour of God, that we maybe able to stand against the wiles of the devil. You belong to the Lord, you belong to Jesus. He is with you always, even to the end of the world. May the Lord continue to put His hand over you and bless you.

This was my grandmother's, favourite song all throughout the years. Growing up with her, I never really understood what it meant, until I became an adult and had to look after her in her twilight years. This song has become so dear to me since then.Whenever I meditate on the words, my heart fills with gratitude for this special kind of Love that God has for us, and it brings tears to my eyes . May God keep me faithful to him.

It seems that your grandmother was not only a lovely person but a true, godly blessing as the matriarch of the family. When done right, there are godly teachings that never escape us from our youth and many of those teachings continue to remain with us to this day! Claim the promise, Raise up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. The Lord will keep you faithful, continue to submit and rest in Him @Pet Biscette

Thank you for the lovely singing of this hymn. I just learned of it because it is the hymn for evensong in the breviary tonight. I wanted to hear it and yours was my favorite version I found :) Thank you and God bless 🙏
