This happened exactly 5 years ago today! (August 31, 2016) I must have watched it 100 times and it still gives me chills. I love Nancy Lee Grahn (and Laura Wright's not half bad either! ha ha) This is seriously a triumph of writing, directing, lighting, producing...as well as the tremendous acting. "General Hospital" is a an awesome show!

I haven't seen this in a very long time. Outstanding acting from Nancy and Laura.The emotion from both of them in this was SO good. Still one of my favorite CarLex moments. Indeed, Nancy demonstrated just how much she earned that Emmy.

i didn't see this scene live, but i now know that nancy lee grahn 100% deserved her emmy. this was everything daytime acting should be: powerful, authentic and that oh-so-hard-to-achieve one: subtle. nancy threw all her moral might into this and made laura wright's usual fierceness seem downright meek. kudos to nancy for winning again after 23 years!!!!

Carly really thought Alexis was going to help her. Why should Alexis do that. Carly was flat ot wrong and Alexis is right Carly had some responsibility and she wouldn't take it

I'm literally surprised that Carly actually stood there and took the heat of Alexis's actuations and she was right on the money about not always being there for her marriage with Jax but it wasn't EXACTLY sonny that she always ALWAYS defended................... it was Jason that she wouldn't stay away from

Nancy really brings the weight of the years they've been at odds. Laura does her best, but she wasn't Carly all those years and anyway, Carly is a very "live in the moment kind of person." She really can't understand why Alexis isn't happy to hear "you were right all along." It's pretty good and demonstrates how love is different for both these women.

Amazing scenes with Nancy. There was soo much talk that she didn't deserve the Emmy and it should have gone to Becky. But to me, Nancy is more powerful and has more of an emotional impact. Sometimes subtle is better. Love it. Well deserved Emmy.

Although many had problems with Garin Wolf, he wrote Carly as being WRONG and having SOME SORT of humility for once. Something we didn’t get under Guza. Carlivati continued this and applied it to Sonny as well. That’s gone out the window again if you watch today so this clip is so refreshing!

Carly is guilty we know that the person who doesn't see it that way. is carly she just does what she wants. know sonny has once again disappointed carly an now she's tired of him again. funny she didnt fell that way when sonny had jax drugged. for her to get full custidy her excuse was she didnt know. an when she did find out it was to late for her to do anything. bull shit an lies carly knows sonny she only gets tired of Sonny's crap. when it negatively affects her I can't stand carly. she's all about her what's good for her 👎👎😠😠.
